“Holiday Food & Wine Pairing – A delicious tasting experience”

This tasting will involve pairing of a varied international assortment of wine with small tastes
representing dishes one might encounter at holiday celebrations. Eight wine glasses will be placed
around a large dinner plate, on which will be positioned nine different foodstuffs in an exact, identical
order on each plate. Roger will animate the event by, first, presenting information on each wine, then the
foods with which it has been paired. The fun will begin as he challenges participants to move from
preordained matches to those which are counterintuitive – and even provocative. Is smoked fish compatible
with red wine, does dessert go with Champagne, and is cheese better with white than red wine? You will be the judge in this interactive experience as you learn if your own taste preferences conform to conventional wisdom.
