Thank you to all who donated, shopped and volunteered at our Fall Tag Sale
The Barn Sale has been a spring tradition at FCC for over sixty years. The sale is typically held the first weekend of May and is an exciting time at church. People look forward to it as an opportunity to make new friends, share fellowship with one another and renew old relationships all while working to sort and price merchandise. The sale has been very successful and the members of the community love to volunteer as well!
Barn Sale provides new and quality merchandise at reasonable prices for the community. Because it is the largest fundraiser at the church, we start preparing at the beginning of the year. The daily lunch and dinner menus to feed the many volunteers are planned, cooking nights are scheduled, room layouts are discussed, worker sign up for various jobs is encouraged and everybody begins gathering the items they plan to bring for the sale. There is a place for everyone! It is a lot of work, but the people involved love the time spent together!
Donations for the sale are accepted a week before, and consigned items are checked in the week of the sale. All items should be in good condition and within the church's donation guidelines.
The Fall Tag Sale, typically held the weekend before Halloween, is a much smaller version of the Barn Sale. It is great for people who want to clear out their winter items. Please come and volunteer at one or both of the sales, and you will enjoy the fun and fellowship with the First Congregational Church!
